Planning to cultivate Mucuna beans in Fukuroi City, Shizuoka Prefecture

We are currently planning to cultivate Mucuna pruriens in Fukuroi, Shizuoka Prefecture. Blessed with a warm climate, Shizuoka Prefecture is an area well suited to agricultural production, with its specialty products of tea and mandarin oranges being grown there. Taking advantage of this environment, we would like to grow high-quality Mucuna pruriens and deliver them to many people. We will deliver health and vitality from Shizuoka to people all over the country.

mission

I intend to cultivate Mucuna beans naturally and without pesticides in a field of about 1000m2. Many young people in Japan look down on agriculture, but I think it is an extremely important job. Currently, Japan's self-sufficiency rate is generally said to be 38%, but according to calculations by Suzuki Nobuhiro, a former Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries bureaucrat and professor at the University of Tokyo Graduate School, when imports of seeds and fertilizer are taken into account, the actual self-sufficiency rate is 9.2%. If war were to break out, we would starve to death no matter how much money we had. We hope that my efforts will be of use to many people in the future.

vision

In the future, we plan to expand our in-house cultivation of Mucuna beans, and also consider cultivating vegetables such as green onions, radishes, and sweet potatoes in addition to Mucuna beans. We hope to provide healthy and safe vegetables to many people.
